How does a city like New York influence both your creative endeavors and skating style?

A city like New York influences both my creative endeavors and skating style in unique ways. Whether I'm walking around the city or skating in the streets, I am always outside experiencing things that influence me. NYC is a melting pot and there's so much cultural diversity, which I love. It gives me perspective and also helps me learn.

You have a poetry zine out right now, what influences you to write poetry?

God influences me to write poetry. Life influences me to write poetry. Humanity influences me to write poetry. Nature influences me to write poetry.

 

When writing, is there a main difference in words or emotions you choose to be in a song versus a poem, say like the ones in your zine?

When writing, there is not a main difference in words or emotions I choose to be in a song versus a poem. A song could turn into a poem and a poem could turn into a song. There's no blueprint or technique that I use to write either. I feel what I feel and put my emotions into words.

Someone that inspires me right now that I'd like to direct Zoned readers attention to is Quincy Jones. If you know, you know. If you don't, you should! He produced "Thriller". What more can I say, haha!
